Licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in women’s mental health & couples.

Dr. Noor Alwani PhD
I specialize in women’s mental health, caregiver support, maternal well-being, relationship challenges, premarital counseling, proactive couples work to strengthen relationships, and recovery from separation or loss, including divorce, miscarriage, and other significant life transitions. My focus is on helping women and couples navigate change, improve communication, and build emotional resilience.

My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for individuals, as well as EFT, Intimacy from the Inside Out (IFIO), and techniques from the Gottman Method for couples.

I am Level 1 trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) through the IFS Institute, with specialized training in applying IFS when working with Muslims. I recognize the deep role that faith and values can play in a person’s life and understand the trust it takes to seek support.

I earned my Ph.D. and Master’s in Clinical Psychology from the University of Virginia and am committed to supporting the well-being of women and couples through compassionate, culturally responsive care.
